When I run the Dirac software v2.1.2, it can see the 390, but when I click to select it, it comes up with a message Error connecting to device, with message Failed to register proxy.

Both Mac and 390 are on the same network, Ive allowed the Dirac software in my firewall, Ive restarted mac, router and 390.

Edit - Ive even made sure both ethernet cables go directly into the router, rather than one of them via a switch.

Edit 2 - furthermore, ive successfully streamed some music off my Mac (where im trying to run the Dirac software) and connected to an internet radio station, so there can be no doubt whatsoever about the 2 devices working properly and being able to see each other.

Any ideas.

I installed the latest version of Dirac on my IMac and have no issues finding my NAD.

For what it is worth I just downloaded the latest version to my Mac (was using the PC earlier) which is running Mojave 10.14.2 and it found my AVR550 (latest firmware) fine; for good measure I opened the project I created earlier on the PC and was able to edit the target curves and do an export.

Ive got a Netgear X6 router with 2 8 port unmanaged switches connected to it, but to discount any potential issues there (not that there should be any) ive connected the mac and 390 directly to ethernet ports on the router.

The fact that i can actually use the 390 to stream music off the Mac in question is what really baffles me - if that works, what possible problem can the Dirac software have in connecting to the 390 Incidentally, i cant connect to the 390 using the Musiclife iPad app either - it just gives an unknown error, unable to connect message.

Coincidence I did try a hard power off via the front switch, but not the mains itself.
